Make It Yours — Ship Customization Is Here

Up to now, your Frigate looked exactly like everyone else's Frigate. Not anymore. You can now paint, panel, and plaster your ship until it's unmistakably yours — and then fly it into battle. Open the hangar, grab a shape, pick a colour, and start decorating.

Panels: Shapes, Anywhere, Any Colour

The heart of it is panels — geometric shapes you stamp onto your ship. Rectangles, stripes, triangles, circles, chevrons, hexagons, diamonds, stars. Aim the reticle anywhere on the ship, set the size and angle, and press to place. Colour is completely free: pick from quick swatches or dial in any exact shade with the colour picker. One shape, every colour you can imagine. Lay a bold racing stripe down the spine, dot a squadron of stars on a wing, box out a hazard panel near the guns — it's your ship.

Finishes: Matte to Mirror-Chrome

Colour is only half of it. Every panel takes a finish — and these aren't fake shine, they're real material. Matte is a flat combat paint. Glossy adds a clear-coat sheen. Brushed Metal reads like machined steel. And Chrome is a full mirror that actually reflects the stars and nebulae around you as you fly. A chromed star catching the light off a distant sun looks exactly as good as it sounds.

Stickers, Too

Panels sit alongside stickers — decals you slap on and, when you're done with one, scratch off over a few passes until it tears away. Stickers layer on top of your paintwork, so you can build a base coat of panels and then add character on top. Mix and match to taste.

Two Loadouts — One Per Faction

Here's the part we're most excited about. Every match, you're assigned to Vanguard or Ironsworn — you don't choose your side. So instead of one look that clashes half the time, you get two loadouts — one for each faction, decorated completely independently. Flip the Vanguard / Ironsworn toggle in the hangar (the active side lights up in its colours — blue or red), decorate each independently, and when the match starts your ship automatically wears the right one. Two looks, one ship. You'll even see the correct livery on your ship in the pre-game preview, so there are no surprises when you drop in.

Earned by Playing

Everything is bought with credits — the currency you earn every match for wins, kills, assists, and captures. We deliberately priced it so the fun comes first: basic shapes cost almost nothing, so you can experiment freely, throw ideas at the ship, and see what sticks. The premium finishes — chrome especially — are where the real spending is, because that's the "make it look expensive" flex. And if you place something and change your mind, fully erasing it refunds half. Trying things out shouldn't feel like a gamble.

Go Make Something

This is the foundation, not the finish line — more shapes, more finishes, and more ways to make your ship your own are on the way. For now: jump into the hangar, pick a colour, and build a ship the rest of the lobby will recognise on sight. See you out there.
