Take the bridge.

Five warships a side.
One of them is yours.

One war, three ways in: the command table, the bridge, the boarding deck. Hold a sector while your shields peel away. Charge the railgun and wait for the shot. Jump across the map and drop in on a fight that thought it was over. Then bring her home with one more kill to her name.

One war, three ways to fight it

Command it. Fly it. Board it.

Vanguard against Ironsworn, fought from three places at once. Pick your side on the main menu and queue. All three are in the free demo.

A fleet fighting in orbit of a blue world
Command

Move the whole war.

Five commanders a side across six star systems. Take worlds, let the trade lanes pay, and jump your fleet into the well where the fight is turning. Win the race and The Spindle wakes. Whoever takes it ends the war.

Captain

Take the bridge.

One warship, and she's yours. Hold the sectors while your shields peel away, charge the railgun, and jump into the fight the moment it turns. Five a side, first to eight hundred.

Assault

No station falls from the outside.

So you go in. Five against five on the deck of an outpost, as a Breacher up front, a Fieldwright bending the fight around you, or a Fabricator with robots at your back. Take it room by room.

Captain · The warships

Which one is you?

Every ship is yours from your first match, the Minelayer too: mines, smoke and turrets for whoever wants to own the ground. The only question is how you like to fight.

  1. The wall

    Dreadnought

Park in the middle of it and stay. Siege-beam anything that holds still, flak anything that doesn't, and take what comes back.

    • Siege Beam
    • Heavy Flak
    • Fortify
  2. The shot

    Destroyer

Charge the railgun, hold your breath, and wait for the moment. When it lands, the fight changes.

    • Railgun
    • Missiles
    • Overcharge
  3. The lifeline

    Frigate

Your repair beam is the reason the dreadnought is still there. Throw a shield over whoever is taking the fire, and scramble the ship about to fire next.

    • Repair Beam
    • Shield Boost
    • Scramble
  4. The ghost

    Interceptor

Cloak, slip behind the line, and take the carrier apart before anyone turns around. Burn out before they do.

    • Cloak
    • Plasma Bomb
    • Afterburner
  5. The swarm

    Carrier

Launch fighters, send bombers where the wall is thinnest, and let your flak keep the ghosts honest.

Captain · The fight

Hold the sectors.
Or watch them turn.

Every sector your fleet holds pays out, second by second, until the other side takes it back or cuts it off from home. Fights start at the beacons and spill into the lanes, where the convoys run.

  • Zone CaptureThe main event. Hold the sectors, race to eight hundred, and never trust a quiet beacon.
  • The ArenaTen pilots, no allies, one Interceptor each. The corrosive closes in until one of you is still flying. Waiting for you in the full game.
  • King of the HillOne sector in the middle. Whoever holds it when the clock runs out, wins. Coming soon.

Jump drive

Charge.

Jump.

You're already there.

The fight you need is on the far side of the map. Spin up the drive, pick a sector, and drop out of warp on top of it. Everyone sees the flash. Nobody has time to do anything about it.

Between matches

Make her look like she's been places.

Slap a shark mouth on the bow. Run a kill tally down the flank. Scratch a sticker half off once it's earned it. Give her a name, and every pilot you cross reads it in gold.

  • Every ship is yours from your first match. What you earn only ever changes how she looks.
  • Stickers wear like the real thing. Scratch one and the art tears with it.
  • Foil catches the light and changes colour as she turns.

On the bridge

Someone's in your ear the whole match.

Pick a captain and the fight comes in their voice: the sector you just lost, the ally going down, the drive coming online. Nine of them. None of them sound alike.

The war is live

Every match you fly moves the line.

Win, and your flag climbs the board. Break a ship, and you go up with the aces. The front keeps moving while you sleep.
