50 Achievements and 8 Captains to Unlock
We wanted progression that feels meaningful without changing the competitive balance. No stat boosts, no pay-to-win upgrades. Just things that reward you for playing well and give you something to work toward.
The Achievements
There are 50 achievements, and they cover everything from basic milestones to genuinely difficult challenges. Your first kill. Your first win. A match with zero deaths. Five kills and zero deaths in one game. Ten wins. Twenty-five wins. They range from things every player will get naturally to goals that take real skill and dedication.
Every achievement pops as a toast notification in-game — gold border, slide-in from the corner, with a sound cue. It's a small moment, but it hits right when it happens mid-match.
Captain Unlocks
Seven of the eight captains are locked behind specific achievements. Jack Steele is your default — solid, straightforward, gets the job done. But as you play, you unlock captains with different personalities and voice lines.
Orrik Haar unlocks on your first kill. Mira Chandra when you capture your first sector. Havok when you win your first match. The harder ones — Kael Tharion requires five kills with zero deaths in a single match. Nyx Virella needs ten total wins. Each captain feels earned because it is.
The voice lines are the payoff. Each captain reacts differently to kills, deaths, ability activations, match wins. Havok is aggressive and loud. Lucian Vex is calm and tactical. Nyx Virella is cold and precise. Your captain choice becomes part of your identity in-game.
No Gameplay Advantages
This is important: captains are purely cosmetic. We removed stat modifiers early on because they created a situation where experienced players had a mechanical advantage on top of their skill advantage. That's bad for new players and bad for competitive integrity. Unlockable captains give you something to chase without warping the game balance.
All 50 achievement IDs are ready for Steam integration too. When we launch there, your progress will sync.
